Become a Mentor

As an AI Grid mentor, you support emerging AI talent and help strengthen Germany as a hub for artificial intelligence. You mentor talented master’s students and doctoral candidates, stay close to the latest developments in AI research, and connect with leading experts from academia and industry.

Supporting the Next Generation of AI Experts.

You benefit from the latest findings in cutting-edge AI topics.

Basic requirements for mentors:
- Significant expertise in a field related to Artificial Intelligence (AI)
At least three years of relevant professional experience in a related area.

Strengthening Germany as an AI location.

The AI Grid actively promotes research in Germany. It brings together talented young minds and experienced experts to secure the next generation of AI researchers. You will be directly and continuously informed about the latest developments in AI. You are a key figure in an attractive environment in science and industry that gives highly specialized young talents a perspective.

Advancing research.

Selected Master's students and doctoral candidates share their findings with you and keep you up to date with the latest developments in your field. As a mentor, you will support and encourage your mentees by making a scientific contribution to the research topic. You have the opportunity to publish together with your mentees. The publications will be prominently featured in the AI Grid communication.

Give impulses.

As a mentor, you inspire talented young AI researchers and support their scientific and business careers. You offer valuable, pragmatic advice on groundbreaking scientific literature, publication opportunities, and events. You collaborate with your mentees on joint publications. You gain access to cooperative projects and industry contacts through the AI Grid. You support this initiative, which is funded by the Ministry of Education and Research

Inspiring contacts.

You are in direct contact with the most talented young researchers in Europe. You are part of a high-caliber expert network of national and international professors and AI experts. You will get contacts to relevant partners in high-quality research centers, universities all over Europe. You will be invited every year to our multi-day seminar that brings the entire AI Grid community together in one great place.
