She particularly enjoys facilitating interactive workshops and providing one-to-one career counselling.

A clear, well-designed CV tailored to the position you are applying for is an important part of any job application—but it is not the only way to stand out. This workshop explores how to present academic experience in a way that is relevant to non-academic employers, how to adapt an application to a specific role, and how to make a strong impression beyond the written application.

What participants will do

Participants will examine the key features of effective non-academic CVs and identify ways to highlight their skills and experience for different roles. They will also explore strategies for making their application more memorable, including how to communicate their profile clearly and prepare for the stages of the application process that follow the CV.

What to expect

Participants can expect an interactive and practical session focused on improving the overall quality and impact of their applications. They will leave with a clearer understanding of how recruiters assess applications, ideas for tailoring their materials, and concrete strategies for standing out among a large pool of candidates.
