This challenge focuses on how artificial intelligence can transform fragmented data and knowledge into practical solutions for development and sustainability. Participants will address a real-world development-finance problem and explore how responsible AI can support better decision-making, project monitoring, and impact evaluation.e and impactful solutions.

What participants will do

Working in interdisciplinary teams, participants will identify a specific problem, analyse relevant data sources, and develop an AI solution concept or prototype. They will consider how their idea could be applied in a real-world setting while addressing issues such as data quality, privacy, bias, transparency, and human oversight.

What to expect

Participants can expect a hands-on and collaborative experience involving problem-solving, data exploration, idea development, and peer exchange. At the end of the challenge, each team will present its solution, including the problem addressed, the data and methods used, the expected benefits, and how the solution’s impact and reliability could be evaluated.
